Daven started his golf career in 2001. Daven was physical trainer for Korean National team. As result of this experience, Daven became interestedin teaching golf full time. He moved to the US to focus on teaching after graduating from Professional Golfers Career College. Upon graduation Daven worked for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy headquartered in Florida. Daven then worked for Andrew Park Golf Academy and worked closely with LPGA players. Daven came to work for GOLFTEC in November 2022 as a certified Coach
