Michael Bidney is a PGA Associate and GolfTec Certified Coach at the Minnetonka, Minnesota location. With four years of coaching experience, he began his career coaching green reading inventing the Perfect Read system (perfectread.com) and now specializes in full-swing instruction at GolfTec.
Bidney began coaching in 2021, initially focusing on putting and green reading. During this period, he invented the Perfect Read system (perfectread.com), a structured method that uses a USGA-conforming ball marker and calibration process to help golfers accurately assess break, speed, and grain in seconds—delivering faster, more reliable reads than traditional methods like Aimpoint. He was recently awarded a U.S. patent for Perfect Read, recognizing its innovative approach to providing consistent, repeatable green reads.
In addition to green reading, Bidney now coaches full swing using GolfTec’s OptiMotion and launch monitor technology. His lessons combine swing mechanics with on-course application, helping students improve ball flight, distance control, and scoring.
Bidney works with golfers of all levels, from beginners to competitive players. His coaching emphasizes clear communication, measurable progress, and practical strategies for the course. He conducts individual lessons, putting labs, and full-swing assessments at GolfTec Minnetonka.
