00:00:00 - you can see there's a lot of things that you can access during your practice I promise you click around just have some fun with it you can't really break anything you're going to be a okay o i Ted that get there oh it is nice sit now you can see the auto putt 2.02 especially from that distance so hey nice par [Music] hello Golf Tech students I am with my student here Lexi and we're going to show you everything that you can take advantage of in the hitting Bays during
00:00:43 - your practice and just make the best use out of your time honestly we have a lot of cool features in our bays and we just want to make sure that you know what to do when you walk into this Bay ready to practice okay so what I want to start off with is when you do when you are presented with a practice so we're going to go over to the screen uh you're going to have to select an iron as you all have always done but also we have so many cool features that are actually at
00:01:08 - the main menu so Lexi I'm actually going to show you one way to get to say what we call the Improvement ranges okay your coaches might have actually broughten these up um during some some lessons but if you go to the practice area after hitting the hamburger icon in the top left click practice area and you're going to be presented with a bunch of selections here to which you can practice so you have yeah you have all ranges you have some improvement ranges this is the
00:01:34 - one I really want to highlight here so say like uh we were bring this one up a couple of times where you have to hit around a wall there's water in certain areas there's an accuracy Island where the whole thing is only 30 yards wide so it's really cool uh everything here is just um easily accessible even if I just go ahead and access one of these just hit start practicing and it's just going to prompt up that Improvement range again you and your coach are working on
00:02:02 - something probably a little bit more specific ourselves we're working on something specific so this is going to be really nice and and really guided practice for something that's going to improve your game yeah so here's that accuracy Island this is going to be one that I even diagnos for yourself for your driver so this is going to be really nice for you cuz you said you want to be consistent with your direction yep man this is going to be perfect for you then right for sure and
00:02:26 - now keep in mind this is insanely hard too so make sure of that but then the other one that we were brought up with the lesson that we had not too long ago was the wall so I like putting the wall on that left side there because you came to me as a slicer so during your practice again hamburger icon Improvement ranges go to the wall and then start your practice and then it's going to load up that practice range for us and you can just continue on as I've told you in the lesson and everything
00:02:57 - awesome should we hit a few on this one yeah I definitely want to see how improve from uh our previous Lon yesterday see hopefully I haven't gotten worse which club did you select I grabbed a seven okay all right no
00:03:25 - pressure oo did you do on the first try let's see you sure did look at you nice now again in the lesson I told you what to look for yep uh Golf Tech students your coaches should be telling you what you're looking for as well I'm telling uh my student here side angle should be off to the right the side spin should be to the left you know what to do to make that occur so that's what the lesson portion is for but coming in as a practice this is going to be excellent
00:03:53 - for you just continue the work that we were we were doing during our lesson yeah for sure good visual to help me understand um yeah what I need to do with my shot shapes and um definitely one that I'll be working on a lot now here's even a a better way of going about this is I want to just put you on a golf course okay okay so again this is something you can do in your practices let's go ahead and just exit and get back to the main menu okay so hamburger icon in the top left
00:04:21 - hit the exit yep go ahead and exit anyways it'll load back up into our main menu here and then you're going to go into practice so you have the ranges which that's where we found the Improvement ranges and all the things that we were just in but then you have course play here so go ahead and click on course play play now this isn't going to be playing the course it's just actually putting you on a range uh similar to what we were doing just on the course itself all right so
00:04:49 - we're going to go ahead and select Pebble Beach get and hit next and here's where actually where you can select any hole you want to go to now obviously with Pebble Beach we like to go to Hole seven a lot the most popular hole and you can select any any settings that you want change the altitude the wind the the green speed whatever you want here and go ahead and tea off but now you're going to be staying in the same exact spot the entire time and just seeing the shot on
00:05:19 - the golf course which is going to be valuable for again just applying the changes that we've done with that say wall now let's put you on the course and see if you can actually hit the same metrics and the same numbers that you've been putting out on the simulator here awesome sounds good 110 yards might have to switch club now the nice part is that during this uh um say um we get to drop anywhere I'll just say drop anywhere uh feature here the quick tips actually
00:05:45 - tell you how to do this okay so you can see to change the hole or t off point just click the gear icon in the top left and then you'll be able to adjust whatever you want here so you said you were going to switch clubs I'm going to guess I'm going to do a nine iron I think okay nine iron perfect so we got a nine iron and as you hit just like the range you're going to stay in this exact same spot but say if uh we want to change where you are on this hole or we want to
00:06:14 - change holes like I said the gear icon is how you do it but if I want to change the spot you go ahead and click and drag the ball or pin to change the locations of whatever you want so if I want to change your T box I grab that ball and I move it up and you can kind of see in the back background here um you see the 95 yards it actually is changing in real time I can actually change where I'm putting the pin location as well so if I grab the pin say I want to put it front
00:06:42 - left or if I want to put it back to the right then you can also do that just by clicking and dragging with the mouse now if I wanted to do one more item of say changing the hole just go ahead and hit the whole number Okay click on top here and it's going to quickly change us to where we are on say hole six now at Pebble so something that's pretty useful for your practicing again gear icon is going to be your friend and just moving around look at all the instructions that
00:07:12 - are on the screen it's going to be very helpful for you so say like 100 100 yards is what I'll put you down there we go since you changed clubs right so let's go ahead and I might I might change clubs again again oh no hit the nine iron and you're going to do the drill that we were doing right that nice nice little right to left shot there you go do a little a smaller swing okay
00:07:41 - see might go a little left which is okay nice shot nice but you're going to get all your launch monitor data on the bottom here and again it's going to bring you back to that exact same spot that you're hitting and you just continue that that Trend and if you want to change like I said gear icon in the top left awesome okay all right Lexi so if you actually wanted to play Pebble Beach now um you're like I want to actually go through the entire course and just kind
00:08:12 - of see how everything would be applying all the swing changes and such again get to the main menu exit exit anyways and it'll bring you back here so you're now looking for not practice we're going to go to the very first selection here course play go ahead and click on that and you get to decide where you want to
00:08:38 - play where is it so let's go play Pebble Beach again sounds good all right now just follow the instructions here click play now and it's going to give you more of the settings and just what do you want to do in terms of say like the t's the settings on the altitude any wind that you want to do the front or the back especially if you only have a 30-minute practice and you can only play nine holes yeah that's that's perfectly fine so um you can customize it play the
00:09:06 - random holes or anything that you want to select up here that is also fine so say we'll just do the front nine and you go ahead and click next and it brings it you again to the settings there's there's a couple of good things here okay the nice part is it's simulated golf so guess what Mulligans we can go unlimited which is nice absolutely and this one is a very nice feature as well Auto putt okay so putting on a simulator can be kind of here and there uh skyra
00:09:34 - does a really good job of of reading the Putt and everything so you can't putt on this thing uh but if you select auto putt it'll just take say the average to to hole out from that distance is going to be applied to your score okay so you don't have to putt you're just doing full swings and going around the course and doing the front nine and pretty much can play nine holes and easily under 30 minutes oh yeah awesome okay then you go ahead and click next and then it brings
00:09:58 - you again you can even select more more T's or more players whatever you need here so I'm going to put you on the front right-handed and then go ahead and select T off so again really intuitive uh just kind of go through the settings and everything you can't really get lost in there and if you change something uh and you didn't like it well guess what next practice you know not to do that anymore definitely all right now with this you're going to get all the info
00:10:26 - pretty much on the screen the yardage uh to your taret Target just so you know um is what's going to be listed off there uh so you can kind of get an idea of what you need to do the whole the in the top left it actually arge the entire hole but if you wanted to change your aim Point instead of actually moving yourself on the mat then grab a hold of that little Bullseye right there with the left Mouse button and then just keep dragging it where you're going to aim
00:10:52 - okay so something that's relatively easy so I'd say let's go ahead and play this hole yeah yeah let's do it perfect everyone can see slice well maybe after my yesterday I might hit it straight we're going to compensate for that a little bit we're going to go right at that left bunker there so there is some items you need to do and uh some navigation you need to have during this whole course play but whole lot of fun just to get up and especially say if it's bad weather outside like it
00:11:25 - is here in Colorado for sure might as well just play some golf5 this weekend I might have to hop on the simulator instead of going
00:11:38 - outside okay no pressure again I don't feel any pressure at
00:11:54 - all oh go through hit nice there we go I'll take it okay not very far but at least it's in play a little bit of Miss I mean it is the first driver of the day and that's fine now you have 111 yards to the flag is what you got
00:12:20 - H think I'm going to go my nine I like it now what's cool too is that it does give you a little bit more of an Insight you can see 100 yard to the Target but it is up 14 ft so that was going to play like 113 actually so okay good thing I grabbed my
00:12:42 - nine oo I topped that it's okay get there oh it is nice sit he listened now you can see the auto putt 2 point 02 especially from that distance so hey nice par thank you to break a 100 come on now that's easy all right but uh you go throughout the entire course and everything this is a whole lot of fun just another way that you can practice inside the golf Bay so that's probably one of our most popular ways to to utilize our Bay um again encourage you all to keep going with
00:13:25 - what you're working on with your coaches with myself and everything thing trying to hit that right to left shot and just really apply it to a real life situation even though we're indoors in a hitting Bay so it's going to be a lot of fun for you there so along with all these items in sky track you also have pin Seeker which is a way to kind of have some skill-based competition uh in your case right now especially where we are I'm not going to recommend you do that but
00:13:49 - anyone can that's a really nice part but also just a little bit less of a say money based matchmaking or skill-based matchmaking there it's just some challenges that you can apply yourself towards so with the challenges you have a closest to the pin target practice long drive competition especially if you bring say another individual just to come watch your practice or anything of that sort you're more than welcome just to kind of have a closest to the pin or
00:14:14 - anything of that sort it's a really good way of utilizing the bay again so not only is it going to say having uh really any range that you want okay you can apply this anywhere that we have been kind of looking all right so even with the closest to the pin here's all the settings shot per round scoring mode um all the fun things that you can have especially if you have multiple people and then if you go ahead and click T off okay now you have at least say like an
00:14:42 - 83 yard shot and just to kind of see what uh those three shots would entail 83 yards o this one's close to the water
00:14:57 - too nice job it didn't go into the water nice look at this o that was a good one wo a little far there's that Sid spin to the left that's what we keep looking for right there any Sid spin to the right you're in the water anyway so don't do that so you're 45 ft away that went a little long yeah I'm wondering should I switch clubs what club you got right now I have my gap wedge yeah you have your sand with you yeah yeah let's go and do that okay
00:15:31 - oops Yeah so as we said earlier I am working on my slice with Brian right now so this one is good for me because I can't miss to the right I have to miss to the left um so if you're also working on your slice you might want to pull up this hole on kissing tree I want to say it was kissing tree I think I this one is left but it might be good that might be really good wow I mean I'll take it 23 feet nice okay so you had 45 23 I think you got the right Club here and you haven't
00:16:11 - missed to the right which is again something that we're doing keep it on the left side which is just
00:16:20 - fine I do like this too because it adds a little bit more pressure to the situation definitely I'm feeling it yeah you can kind of gamify your practice a little bit bit more with some closest to the pin some pin Seekers those items are just really beneficial to add that pressure when pressure is applied you tend to probably slide backwards a little bit with your form everything that I've learned yeah your form technique and such so things like course playay pinseeker even the closest to
00:16:45 - pins and challenges and such is really beneficial to not only yourself but all the students out there yeah so for sure nicely done so you had what 37 ft but uh it was at 25 or something so you can repeat the challenge going to a new challenge there's a lot of options that you have just in the bay during your practice here awesome now even with going back to the main menu so hamburger icon that is going to be your friend uh we'll just exit out of this and then we have one more item here
00:17:18 - with the game evaluation so uh you're going to be doing this a lot with me but maybe some students out there don't necessarily have say a coach assigned to them right now now and you want to get a little bit more in depth into what their game is actually compiled of so you have skills assessment similar to what we just did in terms of like closest to the pin but it really kind of runs through your bag in terms of say like your driver all the way down to your wedges
00:17:44 - just to see how close to the pin you get and then even puts on a skill score to associate with how you did and and just kind of recognizing your your game and where you can improve on so similar to that situation the shots you just hit right there is more of like somebody that would be shooting in the 80s in my opinion again you're just trying to break a 100 but that's a really good way of just the skills assessment and that's something you're going to be doing with
00:18:09 - me but okay our students and everybody that even has a practice pass out there have the ability to go through that bag mapping trying to figure out just how far you hit certain clubs might need a little bit more than a 30 minute practice session to be able to go through that whole bag mapping so maybe like an hour but it's a really good way of going through it just to get an insight into what you do and then also something that I'm going to be going through with you is a wedge Matrix okay
00:18:34 - so especially when it starts to get down to closer to the green we got to make sure that we're at least getting up and down honestly for someone that's just trying to shoot 99 actually just like 177% of the time you have to do that so but this is a really good way of recognizing okay if I take a half swing with my 56 degree how how many yards does that produce for me or what does it carry say if I do a quarter swing what does that carry to so it kind of splits
00:19:00 - up all your wedges and different actual say lengths of swing and gives you more of just how far to expect on say that example 56° at a half swing yeah so if I get started there this is a good one for a 30 minute depends on how fast you go but it could be leading into a 60-minute as well something again that's just really beneficial to improve someone's game even if they don't have a coach and not only that we have our optimotion that is overlaid on top of you and and
00:19:29 - even has our colorcoded system for all the positions in the swing just to kind of see how much uh how much you're turning tilting bending swing whatever it is that you need to be really looking for there so it'll give you all instructions on the screen so again the instructions are always the big one here so similar to the clock drill you'll use four different swing lengths of Club pitch half swing quarter swing and full swings again I'm not going to keep reading that that's
00:19:56 - silly the directions are really important so just make sure you read those and such and they'll just tell you and walk you through this entire process even if you're not with your coach it's something that really benefits your game so like I was mentioning there Lexi we have a lot of things that we can do in our practice sessions not only just looking at that one range all the time you can go into Improvement ranges course play wedge Matrix do a a closest to the pin challenge so many cool ways
00:20:25 - to just apply what we're doing even with our optimotion right on top of you as well so that's the nice part all right Lexi you can see there's a lot of things that you can access during your practice I promise you click around just have some fun with it you can't really break anything you're going to be a okay okay so um all this stuff and and not only I work with Lexi on her slice we're trying to get down to underneath 100 but this goes for really any skill level for for
00:20:52 - whatever you're trying to work on whether you have a coach or you don't have a coach so there's just so many options that are inside a Golf Tech B to help out pretty much every single student out there yeah for sure um I use this all the time even if it is nice outside it still makes your practice so much more effective because you can see the numbers behind it you can put yourself in different situations put pressure on yourself so if you haven't taken advantage of it definitely do it's
00:21:16 - helped improve my game a lot Yeah you mentioned it too the numbers that's associated with the practice you kind of have a little bit more of an Insight towards it so we're going to actually cover a little bit more in depth as to what those numbers mean and everything to just make your practice even more effective so join us in the next video [Music]
