00:00:00 - if you're uh swinging say outside the end you close the face a path you're going to experience a ball that starts left and keeps going to the left something that's obviously uh highlighted with our sky track software right there so being able to manage the path and face the path is really critical if you want to control where the ball's [Music]

00:00:22 - going hello everyone welcome to fix my fault now we're going to go ahead and show you a nice little golf hack to fix your SCE and uh actually build in a close face to path just with a simple grip technique and that hack actually is a simple Expo marker Sharpie uh whatever you want to use that can mark on skin that's going to be useful for our case so this was actually one of the first lessons I taught you and it's one that I can even give over a zoom call with how easy this

00:00:49 - can be um so I'm going to draw three dots on myself then I'm going to give you the Expo marker to do yourself I'm just going to explain where these are I'm a right-handed golfer so on my lead hand which would be my left I'm going to draw two dots the very first dot that's going to be the most important is going to be in line with my thumb on my pinkie pad that will be the very first dot that I go ahead and draw so you go ahead and take yours as well I guess I shouldn't hold my it's okay drop it

00:01:16 - yeah there you go okay yeah so I'm going to do in line with my thumb on my pinky pad perfect okay the second dot on my lead hand again my left is going to be in the an anatomically named snuff box so if you make a thumb uh a thumbs up here all right you will actually yes it is you see the little the little dimple there yeah that is a snuff box so you're going to go ahead and draw a DOT right there wow you really do learn something new every day absolutely just in the

00:01:45 - middle of the snuff box yep right in the middle right there that's going to be for your reference and for everybody's reference there and then your Trail hand you're going to take the first joint on your Trail hand index finger and then I'm going to go ahead and draw a DOT right there so go ahead and do the same for your right hand because you're a righty as well perfect now that we have those three dots on there we can now even objectively measure where we're putting

00:02:09 - our hands on the club head so um now is the time to get the club my Thrift shot clubs yes okay so if I'm going to be taking my very F the one that's most important is going to be on my lead hand here so I'm going to put that pinky dot uh more on top of the grip and this is going to be encouraging say the most closed face to pass that you can build into a grip so if I go ahead and put that dot on top of the grip there you're going to see that the hand is in what a lot of golfers call a

00:02:38 - very strong position I always describe it as it's turn the most away from the target so that's going to be at least helpful for again closing the face the path and then if I really want to build in the most I'm going to take my trail hand here and go ahead and put that dot underneath the club and so this is going to build in the most closed face of path when I come into the impact position and very useful for pretty much a lot of golfers out there that have a slicing

00:03:03 - problem yeah a slice is when you have an open face a path and it just keeps going off to the right thus you need to close that face more this is the easiest way in doing so like I said you had a big problem with slicing yeah very first lesson let's make sure we fix up that grip so we can build in that close face of path if I'm more of a golfer that has too much of a close face a path eventually where you're going to be heading is I can now start to move that

00:03:26 - pinky pad dot over a little bit more and our snuff box I know we like that terminology a lot but it is now visibly to me a little bit more on the right side of the grip when I look down when it was over in that very strong position or turn the most away from the Target now it's the most away and especially on the outside from my perspective as a student so here's that here's that way you can measure yourself so it's a really good hack that you can use and you can draw these dots on your gloves

00:03:52 - and it's kind of simple to be able to do this and then say that example of a face that's too close to the path then I'm going to take my hand and put it on the side and now I have a little bit more of what we would call a two average grip right here okay where you're going to encourage a little bit of closure but just not a ton so there's a lot of ways that you can go about this and especially when you have the golfer that is their hands are turned too much towards the Target in a very weak

00:04:15 - position it's not wrong to do but it's really hard to close a face a path when you come into the Impact Zone as you can see my face is pointed out to the right so I have to do other items to be able to close it like a lot of lead wrist wrist Flex or as a lot of golfers tend to do is start to lean the handle backwards to try to square up the face that way too which is a big problem in the golf world right now so let's go ahead and try out that uh three dot can I switch to my club uh why no I'm

00:04:42 - kidding don't worry about it okay yeah I mean this was one of the first tips that you gave me in my lessons and immediately I saw a difference in how much I was slicing the ball yeah so go ahead and turn towards the cameras and show exactly how your hands are on the club here so here's a really good way of of going about it you can see that snuffbox dot is on the right side of the grip when you visually look down towards it and you can start managing the face

00:05:08 - to path a little bit more by now turning your hands towards me kind of both of them at the same time and just managing how much closure is actually built in now you don't want to continue doing this where you're taking a shot changing your grip taking a shot changing your grip recognize the pattern see what you need first okay and then start uh messing around with it but you take your normal one that we've been working into your grip that is the very the most say

00:05:31 - built-in close face path which is useful for our case definitely [Music] okay there's a lot of closure right there yep lots of closure and again if you're uh swinging say outside the end you close the face of path you're going to experience a ball that starts left and keeps going to the left something that's obviously highlighted with our sky track software right there so being able to manage the path and face the path is really critical if you want to control where the ball's going and such

00:06:02 - so go ahead and use this grip to all of you out there and everything hopefully that fixes up and that hack is pretty useful right there just find an expo marker find some type of marker that you can mark up your glove and have fun hitting some straighter shots [Music]
