00:00:01 - [Music] Taylor Made Qi 35 line of metal woods uh looks awesome we have some great performance numbers coming out of them that we'll get into as well let's talk about some of the technology that they all share so this is going to be the fourth generation of the carbon twist face technology if you don't know what that is your traditional driver basically has a bulge en roll that is essentially symmetrical throughout what Taylor May did is they made that a variable curvature to the face and that

00:00:33 - helps your M hits go even straighter been doing it again on four generations now just updated even more uh with the QI 35 still have the through speed slot we've seen in previous generations and basically what that just allows for is on those low shots you get more flexing of the lower portion of the face helps you to maintain ball speed as well as then distance on those M hits and then just again the infinity Crown where you now see the carbon wrapping down over

00:01:01 - the face a little bit visually I think it just looks a lot more appealing but there is also some technology in there with weight savings as well within the engineers can move that weight around internally as well as externally to get the performance that they desire just aesthetically I think it's the best looking driver uh that tailor made has produced in a number of years both just sitting in the bag as well as when you put it down they all look great so let's

00:01:23 - talk about the ls first and some of the measurables that we've gotten from this so first off uh we've got adjustable weights but no more slider like in years past so in the ls we've got two forward positions and one rear position and those weights are all interchangeable so there is 113 and two 3 G weights and then depending how you Orient those we'll move around the CG and thei so heaviest weight in the reari comes in at about 4600 it's really where we see most

00:01:52 - mois in this kind of a smaller profiled category when the weight is in the back put one of the heavier weights up towards the front front be that in the heel or the toe we see thei come down to 4200 so it's definitely going to see some twisting a little bit more curvature on those off center shots it's really just who this driver's uh designed for is a player that tends to hit it in the middle of the face what Taylor M has done an awesome job with this driver is the CG projection in all

00:02:19 - of these so that is going to be how high up the face we see the fa uh the CG project is going to be about 2 and 1 12 mm High when the weight is in the rear pretty low for a re weight position but then it's only 75 High when you have the weight in the toe or in the heel so it's pretty much right in the middle of the face vertically that's going to help us to reduce spin should be a really low spin driver whenever we move the weight into the toe uh we see the CG move about

00:02:45 - 2 millim in that direction into the heel it goes about 1 and a/4 mm into the heel as well so you do get a little bit of CG movement trying to either uh fight a hook or fight a fade uh again depending on what you need but it's definitely a better players driver uh just because of the low Moi let's start moving into the models that fit a little more of the average golfer and I think this one's going to be a home run for tailor made this year and that is in their standard

00:03:11 - Qi 35 they now have a rear and a front weight so you can move the CG uh vertically and what I love about this one is the CG is really neutral many times in years past we've seing the tailor made CGS creep a little bit towards the toe a little more fade inducing it's good for a certain player now the neutral uh CG position this is really good for anybody when you move the weight into the rear so we've got a 3 G and a 13 G 13 G weight back here in the rear we see thei at about 5300 very

00:03:43 - highi CG only 3 mm high so still should be very low weight moves into the front we see the Moi at 4950 so very high CG still with a forward weight position and the Moi or excuse me the the CG rather is only 2 mm high this is an awesome driver where it's going to be just neutral ball flight as far as left or right goes and you can go from low spin with still honestly pretty high forgiveness or really I'd say mids spin uh with high forgiveness awesome driver this is

00:04:16 - almost for anybody but if forgiveness is really what you seek in the qi1 we measured one of if not the highest Moi driver we've ever measured Qi 35 is right there with it uh coming in in at call it 5850 with thei but what I love about this one is CG is still really low 32 mm High even with a massive 34 G weight in the back and the best part CG is neutral heel versus toe this thing is for anybody as far as left or right curvature if you tend to hit it across the face with we all do from time to

00:04:52 - time this driver is going to be as stable as it gets while maintaining ball speeds for you as well and whenever you just put this down uh it's a huge confidence instilling footprint if you want to just put this thing down and feel like you can't miss uh Q35 is going to be a driver for you definitely to test out so Taylor Made awesome looking driver both in the bag and on the ground technology and the measurements we've take really verify that this thing should be good but to figure out which
