Unbelievable Golf Swing Transformation Revealed!

Description

Jake from Made for the Range stopped by GOLFTEC HQ for a check-in golf lesson with Bryan Collins to see how his hand path was coming along in his backswing with the help of optimotion. Jake's big goal is to get his hands deeper at the top to help improve his downswing path and allow it to be in to out. By using GOLFTEC's own OPTIMOTION Technology Bryan was able to pinpoint a problem area with Jake's shoulders that was keeping him from getting his hands deeper at the top of his backswing.

00:00:00 - There has been a notable improvement in the player's performance over the past three months.

00:00:16 - Jake from Made for the Range is at the Golf Tech headquarters in Denver, showcasing the new features of Optimotion that tracks 15 body points and one club point for visual feedback during the swing.

00:01:03 - The key is to maintain the correct shoulder tilt to keep the spine angle consistent during the backswing and downswing.

00:01:59 - Swing with proper shoulder alignment to impress your coach with controlled movements.

00:02:32 - We are focusing on maintaining key points in golf swing, such as minimizing hip and shoulder movement and ensuring hands are positioned deeper behind the trail shoulder for an optimal swing path.

00:03:30 - Overall, the angle of the shoulder bend and the positioning of the hands in relation to the trail shoulder look good and will help to improve the swing path.

00:04:30 - The speaker advises on adjusting the swing path to be more rightward with less zero degrees to improve angle of attack for hitting a draw with a driver.

00:05:31 - I felt good as I swung leftward through the game.

00:05:49 - You can't notice as much change in the vertical movement, but the improvement in hand positioning is good.

00:06:26 - I would like to see footage from three months ago to compare the player's performance.

00:06:41 - The Tracer on the old swing shows more movement on the right side and less on the left side, indicating a consistent hand path and delivery of the club head into the ball, especially noticeable with an iron.

00:07:41 - Hands move more inward and upward during the swing, demonstrating progress and improvement in golf technique.

00:08:45 - The key takeaway from this conversation is the importance of maintaining the angle you set from the hip bend and shoulder bend to improve consistency in your golf game.

00:09:37 - Using the Golf Tech app at the range by yourself is fun and you appreciate the lesson, looking forward to more in the future.

🏌️♂️ GOLFTEC's Optimotion technology can track 15 points on the body and one on the club to analyze swings.

📈 The new feature in Optimotion allows visualization of how body points move together during a golf swing.

🦵 Maintaining the correct inclination to the ground during a swing is crucial for consistent ball striking.

🎯 The Optimotion technology helps golfers see the differences in their swings over time, showcasing progress.

📱 The GOLFTEC app offers a light version of the Optimotion technology for use at the range.

00:00:00 - I'll take that that looks if you could if you could somehow pull up a swing from three months ago it would be it's a different player oh no he can that's not good look at that see there it is look at

00:00:16 - that hey everyone Jake here from made for the range I hopped into the Golf Tech headquarters here in Denver Colorado today and I'm going to do something really fun so we're going to hop in do a little lesson here there's some unique new features in optimotion is that right so walk quick yeah we got some cool stuff with our optimotion and everything we can track about 15 points on the body then one on the club so what's really cool about inside our Bays is that we can actually see what the

00:00:41 - body does from the back swing and downswing and just where those points are moving so not only with measurements now we have visuals and 2D measurements as well yeah so the new part there is not where the points are cuz we've had the points but now we can see the points move with each other which is really really cool yeah that's going to be something to Showcase right now sweet awesome let's do it all right before we got going with this it was a lot about the hand path and where it's going and

00:01:03 - then also with the shoulder yeah so it's just trying to get trying to get a little deeper with the hands less tall and over the top basically and then just trying to incorporate the correct shoulder to to explain shoulder to a little bit at at your address position you set your inclination to the ground a lot of people call this posture um I'll use it as inclination and and how I'm going to use it is just a demonstration from the the I believe I put it on the neck and the center of the hip right

00:01:30 - here is what we can see so from the side view camera you can see an angle to which your spine is set to the ground so that's what inclination is now what shoulders tilt's job is to do is as you turn during the back swing and downswing you should be able to maintain this incline so say if you stood really really tall yeah right with your the incline to the ground so you're you're no longer bent forward you're actually standing up quite a bit okay you wouldn't be requiring as much leftward

00:01:59 - shoulder to to maintain your incline maintain okay got it all right now these are not going to be big swings at all you're just going to make a swing that's going to make your coach proud

00:02:14 - okay almost hit me with the T I did club path more rightward let's see what happened with this guy

00:02:32 - like I said we're trying to maintain use the key points there okay better better so we see less of the hips moving Inward and less of the shoulders moving away from the ball good and look at your hands so our got way deeper yeah mhm so our our tour average position is about 3 Ines behind that trail shoulder that's a really good say 4 Dee in out path if you're able to manage to do so okay okay so you're going to be moving that path a little bit more probably rightward than

00:03:02 - two average of four degrees and out probably a little bit more closer to six or seven which is fine okay uh for the time being because there's still work to be done for the downswing to not back away from it okay okay so good

00:03:22 - start okay let's see that one

00:03:30 - not bad so he started here yeah it came up a little bit yeah that's probably going to be pretty evident on our motion as well not a ton though you can see you got to about 37 which again that's even more than our tour average you can kind of see what you get set up as and so I was kind of explaining this to you our shoulder Bend is at 36 forward okay okay so that kind of gives an idea of what this angle technically is all right now for us to match that well the the tilt ultim

00:04:00 - replaces that bend okay so when you're at the top of your swing if you're 37 or 36 leftward you've pretty much maintained that got it and the piece that I like is going to be where your hands are relative to that trail shoulder so again about 3 in behind that trail shoulder that's going to be fantastic that looks really good that'll help out a lot with just getting the path to be a little bit more inside so when we started um the the club was right around the neck if I can bring up your

00:04:30 - your one of the very first swings that you had I think we were kind of messing around with just over on this side and get to about the same position you see where your hands are relative to your body oh yeah and again trying to get a little bit less of the the path being at zero and a little bit more of the path being more rightward again two average is about four degrees into out especially with a driver that's super helpful cuz then the the angle of attack is more

00:05:04 - shallow it's easier to hit the draw get more distance less spin Loft so you can even see the differences between those two pictures on what your your inclination has changed to yeah you see that way yeah that's crazy okay cool but I know you want to swing really fast yeah I got to get one yeah

00:05:31 - it felt good I definitely felt it like at the end I felt myself coming pretty far back but like through the actual swing so you game more leftward Tilt at three we lost some going to

00:05:49 - four but you don't see as much of the change or as vertical cuz you can kind of see the points to where you started with yeah right was right here to right right here was the starting point so less of a change from the inclination and what you set from one which is good yeah that's awesome hands deep improved mhm is yeah let's see where the hands were okay again where those guys

00:06:26 - are not bad I'll take that that looks if you could if you could somehow pull up a swing from three months ago it would be it's a different player can I

00:06:41 - uhoh oh no he can that's not good look at that see there it is look at that that's crazy now check this out this is unique because we can put the Tracer on your your old swing look how much that's super cool that moved in from where yeah there's like a little squiggle on that side and there's like a Picasso on that side that's a good way of putting it yes a whole lot more movement on the right side this side over on the left a whole lot less going on just a little bit more

00:07:14 - going to be consistent with where your hand path is going to be consistent with the delivery of the club head into the ball there's a lot of good things from the angle to what you're you're achieving there but probably the biggest one too is you already noticed it this is an iron by the way yeah it should be easier to get that deep you would think yep and then where this guy is relative to that trail shoulder and I like looking at that trail shoulder cuz that can tell me a lot about where your

00:07:41 - hands are just from a given amount so watch how the hands and the club move more Inward and it catches up and it's pretty similar to the same technology that we have in the Golf Tech app I was about to say this looks like the Optimus I used when I'm at the range yeah yep look at the hand path yeah that Line's going straight up and down that's crazy where this one has more of an inward Force to it and there's some lighting that's causing that little Jagged right there but still enabling us

00:08:18 - to see and tell a really good story about where the hands are going throughout the swing so more inward uh more upward a whole lot more on the right side a lot more yeah so that's a another cool one just even just a showcase right there no that makes me feel a lot better that makes me that proves that progress is happening yeah we like having the first swing because we can always look back and just see where they started and everything and all my students especially just recognize any

00:08:45 - time that that conversation comes up like wait hold on look where you started yeah no kidding yeah that's awesome man well thanks for showing me the update that's super cool yeah I got a couple things to work on or continue to work on I guess but I like that the maintaining that angle the like just the thought of doing that helps a lot I think that's that's a good new key to take away from this especially with the visual of seeing the angle that you set from the hip Bend and the shoulder Bend

00:09:13 - right there it now it makes sense oh I just need to stay put if you're able to stay put a lot more a lot more consistency can come into your game with ball striking with just how you're delivering the club into the ball there's a lot of good things that can actually stem from just doing that awesome man well thanks for having me out appreciate it everybody else out there you can get this at your golf tech store with your coach and then you can also get a uh a light version of it when

00:09:37 - you're at the range by yourself using the Golf Tech app which I use all the time now I discovered that recently and now I don't go to the range without it so that's fun yeah but yeah thanks again for having me out man I appreciate the lesson and uh looking forward to more in the future for sure absolutely all right stay tuned guys thank you
